Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council (SMBC) owns and manages Lightwoods Park and House. To provide value to visitors, make their website more accessible, and improve a stronger connection with the community, SMBC wanted to redesign and develop a fresh website conformant to the WCAG 2.2 level AA. With intuitive designs and WCAG compliance guidelines, we set a new standard for the Lightwoods Park and House website and help the council better service their community. Our proactive design and development strategy helped the users browse the site easily and align with the latest accessibility standards.

Advancement in Website Accessibility with Positive User Experience.

For the Sandwell Council, WCAG conformance is not just a legal requirement but a moral obligation. We diligently worked to deliver the website not just for people with special needs but for all users alike. Our engineers performed automated and manual accessibility tests to ensure the website meets these standards. We continuously monitor and scan for compliance issues to help the council maintain a legally compliant and user-friendly website.

Accessibility Results.

Since the redesign and accessibility implementation of the new Lightwoods Park and House, the council witnessed tremendous improvements in the digitally inclusive world. Page interactions increased from 15% to 35% due to the dedicated redesign and accessibility solutions provided by our team.
